Privacy Policy
Respira for iOS · Last updated 4 August 2026
Respira does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data. It has no user accounts and makes no network connections of any kind.
What we collect
Nothing. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no sign-up. The app contains no code that sends data anywhere, and there is no server behind it to send data to.
What the app stores, and where
Respira saves the following on your device only:
- Your session history — which exercise, when, how long, and how it felt
- Your personal bests, including your maximum breath-hold time
- Your training streak and achievement progress
- Your settings — sound, voice cues, haptics, theme, and reminder times
- Your progress through a training program
This information is written to your iPhone's local app storage. It is never uploaded, never backed up to any service we operate, and is not readable by us or anyone else. If your device backs up to iCloud, this data may be included in that backup — that backup is between you and Apple, and is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
Notifications
If you turn on daily reminders, Respira schedules local notifications on your device. No push token is created and no notification is ever sent from a server. Your reminder times never leave your phone. You can revoke notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Third parties
None. Respira contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and shares no data with anyone.
Tracking
Respira does not track you across apps or websites and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
Children
Respira collects no data from anyone, including children under 13. Note that breath-hold training is intended for healthy adults; see the safety notice below.
Deleting your data
Two options, both entirely under your control:
- In the app, open Settings → Danger zone to erase your history and personal bests.
- Delete the app from your iPhone. iOS removes all of its stored data with it.
There is nothing for you to request from us, because we hold nothing.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Respira ever collects data, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described in the App Store release notes.
Safety notice
Respira is a training and timing tool for healthy adults. It is not a medical device and nothing in it is medical advice. Never practise breath-holds in or near water — shallow-water blackout gives no warning and kills strong swimmers. Perform tables and maximum attempts lying down, never while standing, driving, or in water. Stop immediately at dizziness or tingling. Consult a doctor before training if you are pregnant or have a heart, lung, or blood-pressure condition.
